Today I’m feeling very sprightly and full of springyness – although I can’t say much for the weather! And with the first of March upon us, just to make me feel even more chirpy, Monday presented the sugary sweet Jo Malone SS13 Limited Edition collection. Now I have a huge love for all things sweet – don’t we all – and some even joke I have shares in Mr Kipling, on top of the fact I’m coined the office feeder as I love buying sweets treats of all sorts to accompany an afternoon cuppa. So I had to pop up a post on these yummy goodies as they launch across the nation today.
The gorgeous selection of five limited edition scents is inspired by none other than traditional English puddings such as lemon meringue pie and ginger biscuits. The flavours, Lemon Tart, Redcurrant & Cream, Elderflower & Gooseberry, Ginger Biscuit and Bitter Orange & Chocolate, are tantalisingly good, and you can indulge in just one, or collect the whole range, whichever tickles your taste buds.
The brains behind these delectable colognes is French Master Perfumer Christine Nagel. And the lucky lady got to spend a year sampling some of the best desserts known to man in order to select the best flavours and transform them into fragrance, bringing to life their cakey counterparts. My favourite is the Elderflower and Gooseberry as it is fresh and sharp but counteracted with a lovely subtle sweetness.
The fragrances are a new feat for Jo Malone as they haven’t created anything quite like it before, so I’m sure with the array of cupcake scents and the reasonable price point of £38, they will start to attract an inquisitive younger crowd into their boutiques.
Now pay attention – the collection is Limited Edition, so if you are keen to get your hands on one they are only available throughout March so you’d better hurry to avoid disappointment!
These pretty little things come in at £38 and you can get them at Jo Malone boutiques and selected Harvey Nichols stores.
Now I love Jo Malone, but have only ever used their candles and bath oils, which are amazing so of course their perfumes are going to be just as divine. But this one’s for the real nose connoisseurs and comes in the form of this stunning Osmanthus Blossom Cologne – it really is a beautiful thing, which I simply can’t get enough of.
It’s delicately exotic and includes apricot counterpoised with supple leather, luminous petitgrain, luscious peach and orange flower over voluptuous cashmere wood – sounds positively passionate doesn’t it?
I am unsure of the launch date of this so keep a look out, but it will be £38 for 30ml or £76 for 100ml from all Jo Malone boutiques.
Which do you fancy trying in preparation for spring?
