Today played host to possibly the biggest show of London fashion week – Burberry Prorsum. From its star studded front row, which today included the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Kate Beckinsale, Freida Pinto, Rita Ora, Olivia Palermo, Anna Wintour, Tinie Tempah, Gabriella Wilde… I could go on, to the exquisite collections and perfect production of each show – Tom Odell and his band performed live at the entrance to the catwalk today, and (not surprisingly) it rained this time last year at Burberry’s AW12 show.
The show was teaming with the brands signature trench coats, tailored pencil skirts and easy wear knits. But best of all, animal prints and hearts seemed to find their way back onto the catwalk – for men too. This excites me greatly as it makes a refreshing change from the usual winter floral’s and dark autumnal colour blocking.
The playful prints combined set a beautifully romantic mood at the show.
I do hope Zara’s AW13 range dons some lovely bold leopard, as unfortunately Burberry is a little bit out of my budget… sigh!
