Birthday Bubbling

I’m playing catch up now, starting with my turning quarter of a century. I was a very lucky girl and indulged in three days worth of celebrations and a fun-filled trip to Madrid (separate post to follow). My lovely girls came out in force to celebrate the day and we got stuck into the most deliciously rustic afternoon tea at Brighton’s Hotel du Vin, only after I managed the traditional smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for brekky, followed by lunch at a gorgeous little restaurant called Butlers in the quaint little town of Arundel with my family. By the time I was about to burst, I managed to squeeze in a cheese board (just) at the lovely Browns with another great friend. All in all my birthday consisted of, well, eating really! Oh and I was absolutely spoilt rotten with the most gorgeous of pressies, cards and cake.

Incredibly lovely Princess crown cake made by my gorgeous friend Louise!

The following evening was office shut down ready for Christmas festivities, so naturally it was time to let out our hair and proceed with day two of the celebrations! Starting at Havana Spoons in Hove – the most chic and welcoming little dwelling, we ended up dancing the night away at Lola Lo’s (a fail safe on the Brighton party scene). It was such a fantastic evening thanks to all my amazing friends.

And no birthday celebrations are complete without the mandatory tequila!

I really did feel like a Queen for the day (or two).
